A Letter from the Coalition
Dear Friends,
As we approach the 250th anniversary of American independence, we find ourselves at a moment that invites both celebration and sober reflection. The founding generation understood that the preservation of liberty would require more than parchment barriers — it would demand an informed and virtuous citizenry capable of self-governance.
This inaugural issue of The Free Society Dispatch is offered in that spirit. We do not write as partisans of any political faction, but as citizens committed to the proposition that a free society depends upon civic understanding, civil discourse, and the cultivation of civic virtue in every generation.
The essays and resources gathered here represent our first contribution to this ongoing work. We invite you to read, reflect, and join us in the essential task of preparing thoughtfully for America's 250th anniversary — and the responsibilities of a free society that extend beyond it.
